Doona SensAlert Features

• Highly compatible and can be used with most cart seats or boosters. 

• 3 levels of alert through phone notification, phone call and then reaching emergency contacts. 

• 3 users can have access to 1 device so caregivers can use the device and you would be alerted in the event if they are left in a vehicle unattended. 

• 5 emergency contacts can be added to the app. Each user can choose their own 5 emergency contacts in the app. 

• GPS location is sent in the event an emergency contact is reached.

• Connects automatically to Bluetooth on your smartphone. It is designed not to interfere with your other devices and work seamlessly with them connected. It will emit a noise to let you know it is connected.

Doona SensAlert System

1. The SensAlert first detects if your child is in the car. If you exit and walk away from the car and the SensAlert is engaged because your child is left then the alert system will deploy after 3 minutes. 

2. The 1st Alert is triggered after 3 minutes and a notification is sent to your phone “Warning: Child is still on board.”

3. If you do not deactivate the 1st Alert then a 2nd Alert is sent as a call to your smartphone. 

4. If the 2nd Alert is not deactivated then a 3rd Alert is sent to your emergency contacts through phone call and SMS to their smartphones. When all alerts are not deactivated it will be 7 minutes in total from the time you walk away from your car until the emergency contacts are notified.

The Doona SensAlert was developed in collaboration with industry safety experts and has been rigorously tested on leading car seat brands in third-party labs to ensure maximum reliability and performance.

Child vehicular heat stroke is a serious concern, with an average of 38 fatalities annually in the U.S. over the last two decades. The Hot Cars Act of 2021, currently under consideration in the U.S. Senate, aims to mandate the use of anti-abandonment devices, like SensAlert, to help prevent these tragic incidents.

In Italy, since 2020, it has been a legal requirement to use anti-abandonment devices when traveling with children under age 4. Since this law was implemented, there have been zero fatalities from child vehicular heat stroke.

Since its launch in Europe in 2019, nearly one million units of SensAlert have been sold, with no reports of any incidents that compromised a child’s safety. Its growing popularity speaks to its reliability and the increasing recognition of the importance of child safety in vehicles.
